Hi. I’m Christian V.
I like building things with electronics + computing.
Scroll for highlights, or jump to about.

\ interests

  • Microcontrollers (ESP32 / Arduino / STM32 — pick yours)
  • Home automation + sensors
  • Power electronics / battery stuff
  • Networking + self-hosting

\ currently tinkering

  • Designing PCBs for my Capstone
  • Learning how signals behave (filters, FFT, noise)
  • Making computers do chores (scripts + automations)
  • Debugging things until they work (my hobby)
Selected mini-projects (swap these with your real ones):

1) Modular Online UPS

Less of a mini-project, and more like my actual ongoing EE Senior Design Project. It's supposed to keep the systems running even when the power goes out.

2) Home Lab / Media Server

A self-hosted setup for file storage, media, and automation. Mostly learning networking and reliability. I've broken the setup so many times I've learned to rebuild it just as fast.

3) Game Modding

Trying to wrap my head around Blender modelling and LUA scripting to make mods for games like BeamNG.

4) This Website

This site is also a project for me. You'll notice the custom domain, it is self-hosted like the rest of my web services. Hopefully it stays up...

I’m Christian Vergel de Dios, and my favorite kind of fun is turning an idea into something real— like wiring a circuit, flashing code, and bending that cloud-connected device to my will.

I’m into electronics because it’s physical logic. I’m into computing because it’s infinite tools. When you combine them, you get tiny machines that can sense, decide, and do things. [PLACEHOLDER]

I'm also learning to wean myself off the corporate overlords. I host a media server and a private collection movies, shows, and anime in order to stick it to the man balkanizing my favorites behind 10 different streaming platforms.

\ skills (student edition)

  • Soldering + basic circuit building
  • Reading datasheets (slowly but surely)
  • Programming: vibe coder, really, but know enough to be able to optimize
  • Troubleshooting: the real superpower

\ fun facts

  • I keep old parts “just in case” (I promise it's not hoarding)
  • I like simple UIs
  • I enjoy projects that mix hardware + software for the most elegant or optimized solution
  • Favorite moment: updating a config and not breaking the whole stack
